Meet the Halden Terra Trail
The Terra Trail is the newest car in the fleet, and the first one we bought with a specific trip in mind: Tahoe in March.
What it is
An all-wheel-drive SUV with more ground clearance, all-terrain tyres and a roof rack for skis or bikes.
What it is not
It is not a rock crawler. Fire roads, snowy car parks and rutted trailheads are fine. Please do not take it through rivers.
Range in the cold
The heat pump helps, but expect about 15% less range at freezing temperatures. Plan a charge at Truckee on the way up.
