Weekend drives from San Francisco that need only one charge
A good weekend drive is long enough to feel like leaving and short enough to do without planning. These five are all within one charge of a Halden Aero.
Half Moon Bay and the coast road
Forty minutes down Highway 1 with the ocean on your right. Chargers at the harbor and behind the main street.
Napa by the back roads
Cross the Richmond bridge, loop through Sonoma and arrive in Napa for lunch. Plan one stop at Vallejo if you are in a Metro.
Santa Cruz and the redwoods
Take Highway 9 over the mountains and come down through Felton. Slow, green and worth the detour.
Point Reyes
The long way round the peninsula, with a charger at Olema and a lighthouse for the view.
Monterey
The longest of the five at about 120 miles each way, and the one we recommend the Long Range for.
