A card is needed for the deposit hold at pickup (it is listed on each car). The card must be in the driver's name. Debit cards work if they allow a hold.

You can cancel free of charge until 24 hours before pickup from My trips, or from the confirmation link with your email. Inside 24 hours the fee is one day's price. You cannot change dates; cancel and book again, it takes a minute.

There is a 60-minute grace period. After that a late fee of 20% of the day price is added for each started hour, capped at one extra day.

A valid driver's licence held for at least a year, a card in your name for the deposit hold and a photo ID. You enter the licence number when you book; we check the card at the counter.

21 or older. Drivers aged 21 to 24 pay a young-driver fee of $15 per day.

Yes. You choose the model in step two; we assign a specific car of that model for your dates, and the branch can swap it for another of the same model if needed.

Every car is handed over charged, and we record the battery level at pickup and return. Branches have chargers on site.

There is no mileage limit within California, Nevada and Oregon.

Report it right away. The deposit hold set for each car is what covers damage. Normal wear is never charged.

All Halden cars take DC fast charging, around 20 to 80% in 25 to 35 minutes. Ranges are listed on each car page.

Each branch has chargers on site or within two blocks. Staff will show you the nearest fast chargers when you pick up.
